Hi, this is Pratiksha.....my earlier name was different and after marriage it got changed to pratiksha...on 21st august, 2018 I applied for new passport as I don't have a passport.... My center was andheri east. I submitted voters I'd card, aadhar card and pan card which carries my name as pratiksha. As I don't have marriage certificate or gazette of name change officer there suggested me not to submit any other docs apart from this.
ReplyDeleteMy application reached vile Parle East police station and they took copies of voters I'd,aadhar and pan card along with electricity bill.They also took my school leaving certificate for dob proof....but that carries my old name.
After few days I received call from vile Parle police station stating that my file has come back due to my earlier name not mentioned on passport application form.
They told me that my file will not move forward due to adverse report and I will have to go to bkc passport office one I get letter at my residence.
Please suggest what to do...as I understand that as per new passport guidelines marriage certificate is not required and leaving certificate should only be considered for checking my dob.
